Taking care of your LR3 pieces
LR3 garments are designed to be worn, moved in and lived with.
Our pieces are made from carefully selected fabrics, some of which are natural, delicate or hand-finished. Their texture, colour and appearance may evolve with wear, revealing the character of the materials over time.
A few simple gestures can help preserve your garment and allow it to accompany you for years to come.
GENERAL CARE
Always refer to the care instructions on the label of your garment or on the product page of our website before washing or cleaning it.
We recommend professional dry cleaning whenever indicated on the care label, especially for tailored pieces, structured garments and garments made from delicate or mixed fabrics.
Avoid washing a garment more often than necessary. Airing it after wearing is often enough to refresh it.
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, heat or humidity.
When possible, allow your garment to rest between wears.
WOOL
Wool is a natural fibre with a distinctive texture and resilience. Slight variations in texture and appearance are part of its natural character.
Avoid unnecessary washing and follow the care instructions on the garment.
For tailored wool garments, we recommend professional dry cleaning.
After wearing, allow the garment to air before storing it. Avoid hanging heavy wool pieces on thin hangers, which can affect their shape.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
CASHMERE & SILK
Cashmere and silk are delicate natural fibres that require gentle handling.
Avoid excessive friction with jewellery, bags or rough surfaces, which can affect the fabric over time.
Follow the care instructions on the label and use professional dry cleaning when indicated.
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and keep away from heat and humidity.
When storing cashmere or silk pieces, fold them rather than leaving them hanging for long periods.
COTTON & POPLIN
Cotton is a durable natural fibre, but its appearance can evolve with washing and wear.
Follow the care instructions on the label and avoid unnecessary washing.
To help preserve the shape and colour of the garment, wash at the recommended temperature and avoid excessive heat when drying or ironing.
Poplin garments may naturally crease with wear. This is part of the character of the fabric and can be embraced or refreshed with gentle steaming or ironing according to the care label.
TECHNICAL & WATERPROOF COTTON
Some LR3 pieces are made from specially treated or waterproof cotton fabrics designed to create structure and volume.
These fabrics should be handled carefully to preserve their finish and shape.
Do not machine wash or tumble dry unless specifically indicated on the care label.
Avoid prolonged exposure to heat and do not iron at a high temperature.
For specialised or waterproof-treated garments, we recommend professional cleaning and care.
DELICATE FABRICS & EMBROIDERY
Delicate fabrics, embroidery and decorative surfaces require particular attention.
Avoid contact with sharp objects, rough surfaces, jewellery or accessories that could catch or pull the fabric.
Do not pull loose threads. If a thread becomes detached, contact us before attempting to cut or repair it.
Follow the care instructions on the label and use professional cleaning when recommended.
Slight variations, irregularities or differences in texture may occur in fabrics with natural fibres, embroidery or artisanal finishes. These are part of the character of the piece.
FRINGES & HAND-FINISHED DETAILS
Some LR3 pieces are finished with hand-made fringes or other crafted details.
Handle these elements gently and avoid pulling or catching them on jewellery, bags or other objects.
If fringes become uneven after wearing, gently separate them by hand rather than pulling or brushing them aggressively.
For pieces with extensive hand-finished details, we recommend professional cleaning.
PILLING
Pilling can naturally occur when fibres rub against one another, particularly on wool, cashmere and other soft fabrics.
It is not necessarily a sign of poor quality or a fabric defect.
If small pills appear, they can be carefully removed using a suitable fabric comb or lint remover.
Always work gently and avoid pulling the fibres by hand.
STORAGE
Give your garments enough space to keep their shape.
Use suitable, wide hangers for jackets, coats and structured pieces. Fold knitwear, cashmere and other fabrics that may stretch when hung.
Before storing a garment for a longer period, make sure it is clean and completely dry.
Keep garments away from direct sunlight, excessive humidity and heat.
Where appropriate, store delicate pieces in a breathable garment bag.
